It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... December 02 2013

especially here at Connemara Blue! Over the last month we have been fine-tuning our plan to turn the shop into a Christmas experience with a difference. We started with what we thought was a simple idea: divide the shop into one part Winter Wonderland and one part warm and colourful.  When I think of the Christmas Season I don't just think of crisp snowy landscapes and Winter walks, I also think of open fires, bright colourful Christmas lights, warm woolly scarves and very red noses! white stripe plate We started, of course, with designing the glass pieces we felt we would like to decorate our houses with ourselves.  For the Winter Wonderland Range we decided to only use whites, silvers, and pearly colours.  We stuck to simple, elegant designs, with a few fun Christmassy elements added because we just couldn't resist :) . fat-reindeerElegant white plates with a dusting of silver, cheeky Fat Rudolf and Chubby Fairy coasters, and a selection of pearly icicles for our Christmas Trees. We are sure you will find these as cute as we do! . decorations group For our warm colourful range we made some glass Christmas trees, Santa Hats, and stars.   While I only made a handful of these to start with, Joseph (correctly) predicted they would be very popular and promptly made over 100 of them!  As each piece is handmade, they are all different, so pop in and pick your favourite. We'll also be making glass Santa's this week, so keep an eye out for those! shop-christmas-4 Pauline, our "Fabric Fairy", has been designing and making  beautifully colourful felt pieces. The one pictured is my personal favourite! Her pieces are unique, handmade, and come in a range of sizes. . Below are a few photos of our efforts.  Do pop in for a visit, and let us know what you think!
I love it when a plan comes together!
